Privacy Policy

Minstrel is designed around local project files. Your manuscripts, notes, exports, and project documents stay on your Mac unless you choose to send or share them yourself.

Do not send full drafts to support unless we specifically ask for a small file or excerpt that is needed to debug a problem.

When you use AI features, Minstrel sends the prompts, selected project context, and related writing excerpts needed to answer your request to the AI provider configured in the app.

If you use your own provider key, that provider processes the request under its own terms and privacy policy. If you use a Minstrel-managed AI gateway, requests are routed through Minstrel infrastructure so the provider can return a response.

For direct-download licenses, Minstrel and its service providers process purchase email, payment status, license key records, activation records, and support lookup details. Payments are handled by Stripe.

For Mac App Store purchases, Apple handles the purchase. Minstrel may process Apple StoreKit transaction identifiers, app account identifiers, app version, distribution channel, and a local installation identifier to activate the app and help with support.

If you contact support, we process the email address, messages, files, screenshots, logs, and other details you choose to send.

The website may generate ordinary server logs through hosting, security, and delivery providers, such as request time, IP address, user agent, URL, and error information.

We use data to provide app functionality, process purchases, activate licenses, restore purchases, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, debug problems, maintain security, and improve Minstrel.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use Minstrel data to track you across other companies apps or websites for advertising.

Project files remain under your control on your Mac. You can delete local project files, exports, app settings, and local app data from your computer.

Purchase, license, activation, support, and server-log records are retained as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, customer support, security, legal compliance, and service operation.
