Develop a story spark

Turn a compact premise into a project you can shape and draft.

Begin with a seed

A spark is a compact starting point built around a premise, central tension, and possible direction. It helps when you want inspiration without committing to a full outline.

  1. 1Open Sparks from the library.
  2. 2Choose a seed with a conflict you want to explore.
  3. 3Create the project and rewrite the premise in your own terms.
  4. 4Use notes to test characters, consequences, setting, and possible endings before drafting.
