Organize your notes

Group a growing collection of research, plans, and revision material.

Turn a pile into a working system

Choose Organize Notes when the note list has become difficult to scan. Group related material around characters, plot, setting, research, or revision passes.

  1. 1Rename vague notes before organizing so their purpose is legible.
  2. 2Run Organize Notes from the Chapters panel.
  3. 3Review the proposed grouping and adjust anything that does not match your workflow.
  4. 4Consult organization history when you need to understand how the arrangement changed.
