Build your chapter outline

Create a useful project map with headings and chapter synopses.

Give every chapter a clear place

  1. 1Apply Heading 1 to each chapter title.
  2. 2Open Write to confirm the titles appear in the right order.
  3. 3Use Heading 2 or Heading 3 when you want important sections to appear beneath a chapter.
  4. 4Hover a chapter title to read its generated synopsis. A synopsis may show as updating after the chapter changes.
  5. 5Use the outline to spot missing turns, crowded sections, and abrupt jumps.

Use synopses as promises

With Standard, Plus, or Pro, a short automatic synopsis can state what changes in the chapter. During revision, compare that promise with the actual scene and decide whether the chapter earns its place.
