Recover a project that will not open
Save a verified recovery copy as a separate project while preserving the original.
Choose an available recovery copy
If a saved .mns project cannot open, Minstrel checks for usable recovery copies on this Mac. This is separate from Rewind, which requires a project that can open.
- 1In the file-open failure dialog, inspect Recovery copies and their dates.
- 2Select the copy you want, then choose “Recover selected copy…”.
- 3Save the recovered project with a new, unused filename. The original project and retained recovery copies stay unchanged.
- 4Open and inspect the recovered work before deciding which copy to continue editing.
